Chapel Hill, N.C. --- Throughout Armando Bacot's career at the University of North Carolina, he has created a name, an image, and an extreme amount of likeness due to his physical appearance among the many Tar Heel fans across the country.
Armando Bacot came out of IMG Academy as a five-star big man listed at #18 in the ESPN 100. The Richmond, Virginia, native entered the UNC roster in 2019 alongside Jeremiah Francis, Anthony Harris, and Cole Anthony, the headliner of one of Roy William's final recruiting classes, before officially retiring after the 2020–2021 basketball season came to a close.
The NIL policy, or, in other words, name, image, and likeness, was allowed back in 2021, as the NCAA allowed collegiate athletes to produce money off who they are while still being in school simultaneously.
For Bacot, this elevated his basketball career off the court tremendously, earning deals with companies such as Dunkin' Donuts, Raising Canes, Frosted Flakes, Crocs, and more.
However, out of all the many different deals that he has had, it surely becomes a question as to which one in particular is his personal favorite.
Earlier this afternoon, Bacot was asked during his pre-Virginia press conference, "Are you willing to share like a number of NIL deals you have? Has that ever been revealed? Have you shared that ever?"
In response, Armando Bacot said, "I really don't know like the number of deals I really did, but it's been a lot though".
Moments after still on the topic of NIL, Bacot was questioned, "So what's your favorite?".
UNC's all-time leading rebounder answered with, "Probably Me Fine, because I was able to give back like a lot of money to charity, and I thought that was really cool because it impacted a lot of people, so that was good for me."
Me Fine is an outlet that assists families who have children at North Carolina partner hospitals through a financial aspect.
As found on Me Fine's website, Bacot's fulfilling message states, "I am so excited to be partnering with Me Fine to use my platform to bring awareness to the amazing work they do supporting families with kids dealing with serious medical situations. Using my platform to give back has always been incredibly important to me and I can't wait to meet these kids and help raise funds for Me Fine's crucial work."
Coach Davis' fifth-year senior is producing on the court but is even better off the court, helping many in need however he possibly can.
