Big Nights For Armando Bacot and R.J Davis

In UNC's second game in ACC play after losing the first outing to Virginia Tech, with the help of big nights from both Armando Bacot and R.J Davis contributed 21 and 22 points. Along with each having double figures in rebounds, played such a huge factor in UNC snapping their four-game losing streak.

UNC was able to establish Armando's post presence down inside, feeding him the ball on each possession as much as possible. This is ultimately UNC's key to success for every game, the ability to be able to feed your big man, arguably one of the best in the country in college basketball, and give him paint touches each trip down will increase the chances of scoring.

While on the other hand, R.J Davis was being R.J Davis, scoring with bursts of lighting speed, getting to his spots for jumpers, and the whole bag of tricks was on display.

Just like last season, the performances of these two guys are so tremendously crucial to this team's success.

Along with the rest of the Tar Heel nation, we all hope performances like these happen every game.

The Ball Movement Was Significantly Better

UNC's lack of sharing the ball and providing the extra pass in a game wasn't very visible in the first 9 games. Though, in this matchup with Georgia Tech, there was a much better showing of passing between the players, totaling 15 assists as a team.

Showing flashes of last season when sharing the rock was so key during UNC's run to the national championship.

Gives faith to Carolina fans that improvement is happening and changes are being made in practice by Coach Hubert Davis and staff.

The Losing Streak Comes To A Close Finally

UNC going on a four-game losing streak beginning in Portland, losing to both Iowa State and then Alabama, then followed by losses to Indiana and Virginia Tech. UNC was glad to be back at home, this time having all the fans on their side throughout 40 minutes of game time.

Hopefully, this win can build momentum and confidence within the players moving forward. To get this season back on track, to fulfill the goal that was set before during preseason.

Winning a national championship

Jalen Washington Makes His Debut

After a torn acl suffered in high school along with not playing a single minute during his senior year, Jalen Washington has been able to recover and make his Tar Heel debut.

Washington received a huge standing ovation from the Carolina fans as he checked into the game. Then on UNC's last scoring play of the game, the rock was swung around a couple of times before the landing in Jalen's hands on the right block. He took a couple of dribbles, bumping into his defender's chest, the rose up for a turnaround jumper, rolling in for the deuce.

UNC Is Back In The Win Column

After defeating Georgia Tech, UNC has games with The Citadel at home, then will faceoff with Ohio State in Madison Square Garden for the CBS Sports Classic. Then will travel to the big city of Charlotte to play Michigan in the Jumpman Invitational. Finally, to close out the year with a road matchup against Pittsburgh.

Hopefully, the Tar Heels can flip the script and begin a long winning streak of their own

The game against The Citadel is at 7 pm, on ESPN2
