The Big 3 Clicked All Together In This Contest
The three-headed monster of Armando Bacot, Caleb Love, and R.J Davis had a big time performance in a much needed victory.
As they contributed 59 points, 14 rebounds, and 8 assists collectively in their 91-71 win against the Clemson Tigers.
It was an amazing performance that needs to be seen on a game-by-game basis moving forward in hopes of keeping an NCAA Tournament entry alive.
UNC Played Team Basketball Against The Tigers
An all-around team effort by the Tar Heels as they made 17 assists throughout the duration of the game.
The offense looked so much smoother and was not as stagnant in recent games before yesterday's matchup.
It feels like the play during practices translated over to the actual contest, as it was commented on many times by Armando Bacot and Coach Davis after the Wake Forest loss this past Tuesday.
As a whole, the team was having a lot of fun, as smiles were visible across their faces—a wonderful sight to see if you're a Carolina fan.
Hopefully, this trend continues moving forward with six games left in the regular season.
Puff Johnson Contributes Off The Bench
The forward from Moon Township, Pennsylvania, Puff Johnson, came off the bench and tallied 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists in 18 minutes of game action.
Johnson was very poised on both ends of the floor, being able to step up when his number was called.
It raises the question of whether or not he should start in the coming games, as Pete Nance's numbers lately at the four spot have not been as expected. With big opportunities to get quality wins in the coming week, it's a consideration that could arguably be made.
Consistency Is Key Moving Forward
After a huge outcome against the Tigers, UNC hopes to make a stride in repeating a similar performance in their next game. As at times during the season, their play has been up and down.
Surely, this should be the turning point where they produce a similar result in their following game.
North Carolina Makes A Quick Turnaround For Monday
UNC is back at home tomorrow, February 13th, against the #19 Miami Hurricanes, who have a current record of 20-5 on the season and 11-4 in ACC play.
The contest will start at 7:00 p.m. ET.
A great chance for the Heels to pickup another quality victory
