North Carolina Toughed It Out During Final Minutes
A struggle for UNC this season, has been able to close the doors on their opponents to secure the win.
That was not the scenario in this matchup against Notre Dame on the road.
UNC was able to get the defensive stops they desperately needed, along with free throws made in the clutch by Caleb Love. It was super comforting to watch the Heels grind it out all the way until the last second.
Despite the ugly game, UNC was able to manage the 63-59 win in South Bend, Indiana, in order to keep their NCAA Tournament hopes alive and breathing.
A Huge Boost Provided By Pete Nance
Pete Nance showed up to play in this game, as he gave the Tar Heels a lift during the first half while the team as a whole struggled.
Nance finished the game with 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists, despite shooting 3 of 12 from the field.
His high-low passes inside to Bacot played a huge part during the game, which allowed for easy buckets around the rim.
Surely, this should help Nance get his groove back with the regular season coming to an end.
UNC Is Back At Home For A Huge Game
The North Carolina Tar Heels will be back at home to play against #6 Virginia.
The scheduled tip-off is at 6:00 p.m. ET tonight.
A big opportunity to get a solid win and add on to the resume for UNC.
