AP Poll Week 1: The Tar Heels Slide Down One Spot Despite Going Undefeated

Despite winning their first two games of the season against Radford and Lehigh by a combined 38 points, they moved down a ranking to #20 in this season's first go-around of the AP Polls.

The following matchups for UNC consist of UC Riverside (Friday, November 17th), then the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament beginning with the Northern Iowa Panthers (Wednesday, November 22nd), and a big-time match with Tennessee for the ACC/SEC Challenge (Wednesday, November 29th).

There are plenty of opportunities for UNC to climb their rankings with quality games ahead of schedule, though UNC fans should not be too concerned with this considering what happened last year when they were named preseason #1.

Nonetheless, UNC basketball is back with exciting contests during non-conference play (not to mention dates with Kentucky and UCONN).
