Chapel Hill - On White-Out Wednesday, #17 UNC was able to defeat #10 Tennessee by a score of 100-92 after a huge first half with a lead of 61-39.

Armando Bacot

After playing three games in The Bahamas, fifth-year senior Armando Bacot did not perform up to standards.

Fortunately, UNC was able to secure two out of the three games during their stay, but it was a question of whether or not the talented big man from Richmond, Virginia, was going to stay in this kind of slump any longer.

Bacot was able to break out and return to his usual high level of play against #10 Tennessee, as he dropped 22 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assists. converting on six of his eight field goal attempts and making 10 out of his 13 free throws.

A key piece to this UNC that works at its best when Bacot is rolling.

The Backcourt Tandem of Elliot Cadeau and RJ Davis

Elliot Cadeau, who reclassified to play this upcoming season, had a lot of high hopes from fans, and yesterday night he proved exactly why.

Despite only scoring 5 points, Cadeau dished out 10 assists just by himself. In addition, having zero turnovers is something that has not been done since Marcus Paige was playing years ago.

This allowed senior guard RJ Davis to play off-ball and put himself in more catch-and-shoot positions, where he absolutely thrived in ending the game by going 5-11 from downtown.

A special backcourt with an elite passer and a terrific shooter feels like a winning recipe.

One More Contest at Home before New York

#17 UNC will take on Florida State this coming Saturday at the Dean E. Smith Center at 2:00 p.m.

This will be their last matchup before facing UConn next week at Madison Square Garden.
