Ian Jackson, out of Bronx, New York, is listed as the #4 SG, according to 247Sports. Jackson decided to join Overtime Elite this season, where he plays for Our Savior Lutheran, previously at Cardinal Hayes High School.

There were rumors this past summer about a potential reclass by Jackson, where he would have joined current freshman Elliot Cadeau and Zayden High in Chapel Hill a year earlier than anticipated. Though ultimately decided to stick around another year of high school hoops.

A high-flyer above the rim who likes to go full force at his defender in transition and the half-court setting. In addition, being unafraid to let it fly from downtown beyond the three-point line. Jackson is a dynamic scorer, but he has improved his point guard skills this past summer by playing with the U19 USA basketball team.

Coach Davis should be extremely excited to add yet another talented guard to the roster next season for the 2024–2025 campaign.

Drake Powell, the first player to commit within this 2024 recruiting class, out of Pittsboro, North Carolina, stands as the #2 SF, according to 247Sports. Powell currently attends Northwood High School, playing under Matt Brown.

Extremely athletic while being lengthy at the same time, Powell uses his frame to excel downhill and lock in on the defensive end. Powell also possesses a very nice pull-up jumper in the mid-range and can hit outside shots from beyond the arc, specializing in the catch-and-shoot. Alongside all of the skills listed, the 6-foot-6 forward is an underrated shot blocker.

Last but not least, James Brown, out of Branson, Missouri, is ranked as the #14 C, according to 247Sports. Brown, like Ian Jackson, has transferred to a new home in the high school world as he now attends Link Academy, the same school that Elliot Cadeau came out of, previously playing for St. Rita (Illinois).

Measuring 6-foot-9 and weighing 210 pounds, he can play off the dribble, whether it's attacking the rim or getting to his spot for a jump shot. Brown can also be successful off the catch from deep, possessing the ability to spot up and play without the ball in his hands. Impressively, Brown runs the floor very well for his stature. An extremely mobile big man, an interesting but exciting player to look out for in the future, wearing Carolina blue and white

Coach Davis is slowly but surely obtaining the kind of players that fit his playstyle for modern-day Carolina basketball.
