UNC Basketball Preview: #7 Tar Heels Take On the Orange

Chapel Hill - #7 UNC meets with the Syracuse Orange (11-4, 2-2 conference) at the Dean Smith Center, tomorrow at noon on ESPN. 

#7 North Carolina is coming off a three-game road trip where they came out victorious in each matchup. This past Wednesday, facing off against NC State, the Heels won 67-54. RJ Davis shoveled the load with 16 points and 4 rebounds while making six out of 19 shots alongside four out of 10 from deep. Harrison Ingram was big-time on the glass securing 19 rebounds, a career-high. The freshman, Elliot Cadeau, chipped in 11 points and six assists for the game. The Tar Heels were 39% FG (24-62), 34%  (7-21) 3PT, and 60% (12-20) FT. 

The Syracuse Orange previously took down Boston College at home, 69-59. Sophomore, Chris Bell, out of Concord, California, scored 20 points on 57% shooting and 45% for 3PT. Followed by Maliq Brown's 19 points, eight rebounds, four assists, and four blocks. Brown contributed on 55% field goal shooting and 88% free throw shooting. The Orange went 38% (23-61) FG, 29% (6-21) 3PT, and 74%  FT (17-23). 

UNC is listed at 91.1% on the matchup predictor, according to ESPN Analytics
