Chapel Hill - #8 North Carolina goes into Littlejohn Coliseum to duel with #16 Clemson tomorrow, January 6th, at noon.

#8 UNC comes off a commanding win over the Pittsburgh Panthers on the road, as they never trailed once during the second half. Armando Bacot was the team leader in scoring with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and three blocks. The senior guard, RJ Davis, who has been on fire, contributed 15 points of his own in addition to his three rebounds and four assists. Although Harrison Ingram did not have the best of games shooting-wise, he was still a monster on the glass, grabbing 15 boards through 35 minutes of playing time. As a team, the Tar Heels shot 37% from the field, 29% behind the three-point line, and 86% at the charity stripe, and yet they were still able to win by double figures. The defense was clicking, especially in the second half.

The #16 Clemson Tigers go back home after falling to the Miami Hurricanes 95-82. Joe Girad III, the transfer from Syracuse, notched 18 points on six of 14 from the field, two rebounds, and five assists. Right behind him was PJ Hall, the team's leading scorer, who averaged 20 points per game and came up with 17 points against Miami. The Tigers converted 46% of their shots against the Hurricanes and knocked down 37% of three-point attempts. Clemson averages 82 points, 39 rebounds, and 17 assists after 13 games this season.

UNC is currently listed at 42.6% for the matchup predictor, according to ESPN Analytics
