Chapel Hill - After remaining in the Top 3 in this week's AP Polls, the North Carolina Tar Heels take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-11, 2-7 conference) at 7:00 p.m. on ESPN.
The Tar Heels are coming off a grinded-out victory against the Florida State Seminoles, 75-68. The backcourt tandem of senior RJ Davis and freshman Elliot Cadeau carried the load, scoring 24 and 16 points, respectively. Georgia Tech returns home after facing the Virginia Tech Hokies, 91-67. Baye Ndongo, the freshman from Mbour, Senegal, notched 16 points and nine rebounds and secured two blocks on the defensive end. Ndongo is second on the team with 13 points, nine rebounds, and one assist while shooting 36% from the field and 38% from beyond the arc, although he only shoots 59% at the charity stripe. The Yellow Jackets are 73 PTS, 38 REB, and 14 AST on the season going into tonight's clash.
